I know this has been addressed a thousand times and I believe I may have spotted the answer in a thread currently posted.  Exactly what parts do I need for my MK III to  alleviate the mag disconect , and also any other suggestions regarding improved performance would be appreciated.

I think it was a MkII hammer and some slim washers. I'm probably missing some parts though.

I could never buy a MkIII... As bad as the mag disconnect is, the part that kills me is the loaded chamber indicator - That has got to be the sloppiest way it has ever been done. Not to mention that if someone didn't think to check the chamber, why would they check the receiver? Makes no sense.

I agree on the loaded chamber indicator, but it is a minor iritation on a fine pistol. I was told i need to use a Volquarsten sear and Ruger MkII hammer and no washers are needed. This is what I need to clarify.

if it is mk 3 you need to put in mk2 hammer and mk2 hammer bushing. then throw the magazine safety, safety spring, mk3 hammer and mk3 bushing in the trash.

From this thread.

ETA: I'm not recommending this, but I just took the disconnect out and ground it down to resemble a washer. Cut both ends off the spring and put it back together. Seems to function fine, will have to test it though. Low/no dollar approach.
